Self-Drilling Anchors (SDA) are specialized ground anchoring systems used for slope stabilization, rock anchoring, soil nailing, retaining structures, and foundation support. Unlike conventional anchors, SDA systems can be drilled and installed simultaneously, making them suitable for loose, fractured, unstable, or difficult ground conditions.

SDA systems generally consist of a hollow threaded steel anchor bar, a suitable drill bit, couplers where required, and a centralizer. During installation, drilling is carried out using the hollow anchor bar, while cement grout is injected through the hollow bar to stabilize the borehole and bond the anchor to the surrounding ground.
